Workshops in Schools

Available for Creative Writing and Film workshops in schools and with writing groups throughout the UK.

Successful workshops completed in over 50 locations nationwide including Glasgow, Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, London and the south-east in an array of different settings.

I am an experienced teacher and arrive at the classroom with a range of strategies to engage and enthuse students. I am happy to reinforce the skills of descriptive and narrative writing at KS3 and KS4 and I have first hand and up to date knowledge of teaching, marking and examining on the new AQA A Level in Creative Writing.

I am a lecturer in Creative Writing at Canterbury Christchurch University where I teach on both the Creative and Professional BA and the Creative Writing Prose Fiction MA. I specialise in Fiction, with particular interests in the Short Story and the Horror/Dark/Speculative genre.

Prices very competitive and entirely negotiable.

Danny Rhodes - Writer

I can never go back on what I’ve written. If it was not good, it was true; if it was not artistic, it was sincere; if it was in bad taste, it was on the side of
life
